The civil and structural engineering firm is expanding its operations in the city after moving to a new office on St James Square.
Adept Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers has relocated to 1,200 sq ft on the fourth floor of Number 7 St James Square, which sits between John Dalton Street and South King Street in Manchester city centre.
The company, which is headquartered in Leeds, was previously based at Sevendale House in the Stevenson Square conservation area.
Since launching in Manchester five years ago, Adept has won numerous contracts throughout the North West, spanning the rail, education, industrial and residential sectors.
Adept provides a full range of civil and structural engineering services, including surveys, feasibility studies, BIM, geo-environmental studies, site investigations and more. It currently employs a team of six staff in Manchester but is looking to recruit more.
Neil Brown, director at Adept who heads up the company’s Manchester office, said: “7 St James Square is a newly refurbished building that offers high-quality office accommodation, with great communal facilities, right in the heart of Manchester city centre, meaning it’s highly accessible for our team and clients.
“It also offers the opportunity for us to expand further, making it the ideal base as we embark on our next phase of growth and continue building on our presence and reputation in the North West.”
Brown added that the team has grown in line with the Adept’s regional growth in recent years, “to the point where we had outgrown our previous premises”.
The company is looking to recruiting several new staff members in the coming months to meet demand of future contracts.
