Addington takes control of Charter Walk car park

Addington Capital, owner of Charter Walk Shopping Centre in Burnley, has taken back the management of the centre's multi-storey car park from NCP.

Addington said it intends to improve facilities and lower prices to "create a more efficient and cost effective facility for customers". The 737-space car park will be rebranded as Curzon Square Car Park. A full refurbishment will be carried out with the aim of achieving a Park Mark Safer Parking award.

Chris Gribben, centre manager, said: "By taking over the management of the car park, we can ensure that it is maintained to a high standard and that any issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently to improve the overall experience for shoppers at Charter Walk.

"The refurbishment work is scheduled to begin immediately and the car park will be re-launched under its new name of Curzon Square Car Park."
