Aberdeen sells office building

Aberdeen Asset Management, represented by Savills, has sold Commercial Buildings in Manchester for £5.1m to a private investor who will relocate an existing business into part of the building.

The asset consists of 11-15 Cross Street, 8 New Market and 26/28 Pall Mall near to the Arndale Centre.

The properties total 35,223 sq ft of office space and 1,658 sq ft of retail currently let to O2 and Ladbrokes.

Hazel Ramsay, director of Savills, said: "Owner-occupier acquisitions of this scale are relatively rare within Manchester city centre. This transaction demonstrates the window of opportunity for equity rich individuals and businesses in the current marketplace to invest in their own occupational estate."

WHR advised the purchaser.
