Aberdeen Asset Management has submitted a planning application for the redevelopment of 40 Fountain Street in Manchester into an 86,000 sq ft office.
The new eight-storey block has been designed by AHR Architects.
The building will be renamed 11 York Street and is designed to meet the requirements of the commercial, professional and financial services sectors.
Floor plates will measure up to 11,700 sq ft.
If approved, the scheme will include glass, stone and steel elevations, a double-storey entrance on the corner of York Street and Fountain Street, and a private business lounge as part of the reception facility for tenants.
Two ground floor units suitable for either retail or coffee shop/restaurant use, a basement car park for 25 vehicles and storage, showering and changing facilities are included within the designs.
Colliers International has been appointed as development consultant and sole letting agent.
