Real estate lawyer Emma McGlinchey has left Gateley in Manchester to join Aaron & Partners as a partner based in Chester.
Aaron & Partners chief executive Andy Duxbury said: "The fact that Emma has decided to join us strongly demonstrates our growing stature and ambition in the commercial property sector.
"She brings with her a wealth of expertise in a field that is at the core of our commercial offering to businesses across the region, and I am sure she will be an asset to the practice and our clients.
"While some sectors of the commercial property market are continuing to have a tough time, others are holding up well and Emma's appointment will help us to secure a bigger share of the work that is out there."
Aaron & Partners employs 100 people and offers a full-service commercial practice.
McGlinchey has acted for a discount supermarket chain, office owners and occupiers, a holiday park operator as well as landowners disposing of sites for development. She was previously a senior associate at Gateley.
McGlinchey said: "Aaron & Partners is a growing law firm with a fantastic reputation across the region.
"To join the firm as a partner is an honour and I am looking forward to playing my part in shaping the future direction of the firm."
