AA Projects leads Centre for Better Births plans

Liverpool Women's Hospital is to build a £5m two-storey laboratory and office alongside its facilities on Crown Street on the edge of the city centre.

Sale-based AA Projects is advising the specialist hospital, which is building the new accommodation as part of its Centre for Better Births initiative.

A contractor is being sought for the building work and AA Projects said a start on site is expected in June 2010, with the new space ready for occupation in April 2011.
