The property consultant has promoted Richard Murray to director from his previous role as an associate director.

Murray is now the director of the energy and sustainability division in the firm’s Manchester office, which he established during his 12 years at the company.

The division has 10 staff members and generates over £1m in revenue. It specialises in energy demand reduction and supporting sustainability across the education, healthcare, and commercial sectors.

Stephen Abbott was also promoted to director for the company’s Leeds office. He joined AA Projects in 2017 from his role as an associate director at construction consultancy firm Curie & Brown, formerly known as Sweett Group.

Kenneth Wood, managing director, said: “There has been a surge in awareness of the effect human activity is having on the environment. Richard has over 20 years of experience in this field and his promotion reflects the importance of our energy and sustainability division and its role in supporting our client’s needs.”
