A Connolly recruits trio of apprentices

Wigan-based building, refurbishment, painting and decorating business, A Connolly, has taken on three apprentices as part of National Apprenticeship Week.

The annual festival, co-ordinated by the National Apprenticeship Service, runs from 11 – 15 March and aims promotes the value of apprentice training to individuals, businesses and the economy.

A Connolly has made a commitment to three local apprentices: 19-year-old Shaun Cooper, 21-year-old Sheraz Pervaz and 18-year-old Jordan Felton.

The apprentices have already started work on a local refurbishment scheme for Wigan & Leigh Housing.

Chris Connolly, director at A Connolly, said: "It's great to be able to support and employ three local young adults. We have always taken great pride in employing local people."

The family-owned business worked closely with G4s Welfare to Work & Work Solutions to enable young local adults re-secure valuable employment.
