4NW adds to economic and planning teams

4NW, the regional policy forum made up of council leaders from across the North West, is advertising for an economic development policy officer and two planning advisers.

The economic officer will advise on all aspects of policy and, the advert says, must be 'familiar with the demands of politicians and stakeholders at a national, regional, sub-regional or local level'.

The job is offered on a fixed contract until 31 March 2011 with a salary around £35,000.

Formerly the North West Regional Assembly, 4NW scrutinises the work of the North West Development Agency and helps it devise regional strategy, as well as lobbying Government on regional funding priorities and policy direction.

Regional planning officer and assistant vacancies will be advertised on 4NW's website next week.
