£4.5m university repairs work on offer

Manchester University is advertising its building maintenance contracts with a view to appointing two or three suppliers for the next three years.

The work is currently carried out by Seddon, who have worked with the university for the past five years.

The contracts will cover reactive building maintenance services and minor works. The university said more than one company and no more than three would be appointed.

The contract value is £1.5m a year in total for three years. A decision is expected by the end of March 2011.
