151 Products buys St Helens distribution warehouse facility

Threadneedle Property Investments has sold The Chill Out, a 178,000 sq ft distribution facility in St Helens, to 151 Products.

The large scale distributor of household and DIY products is due to take occupation of the new facility prior to Christmas.

151 Products has outgrown its existing premises in Manchester and The Chill Out gives the company the opportunity to expand into a larger facility on its own 11-acre site.

Helen Moss, senior surveyor at King Sturge, which acted for Threadneedle alongside CBRE, said: "We are delighted to have sold Chill Out to an occupier. This deal represents another transaction at this size range in the North West and shows there is demand for large distribution warehouses."

Mike Rooney, of WHR, which acted for 151 Products, added: "WHR is delighted to have acquired The Chill Out for our clients as it not only represented a good deal for a building of this quality but also affords them the flexibility of potential expansion in the future. 151 were in the market for a while but have now secured the right building at the right price."

King Sturge and CB Richard Ellis were appointed to market The Chill Out in July 2007.

The Chill Out forms part of the Abbotsfield Industrial Estate and is situated between junctions 7 and 8 of the M62.

The selling price was undisclosed.
