£10m housing repair work awarded

Wigan & Leigh Housing has awarded contracts to A Connolly and BAAS Construction to carry out maintenance works across 22,400 homes.

The homes are managed by Wigan & Leigh Housing on behalf of Wigan Council. The contract will last three years with an option to extend for a further two years. Works will include painting, roofing, masonry work and fencing repairs.

A Connolly and BAAS Construction both won contracts valued at £5.25m each, with each contractor carrying out works to approximately 2,000 homes a year.

A Connolly is based in Wigan, and BAAS Construction is based in Burnley.
