Nevitt appointed MD of Anwyl

The North West developer and contractor has hired Mike Nevitt, a former design director of Mulbury Homes and Bardsley Construction, as its managing director.

Nevitt takes over from Tom Anwyl, who continues in a group director role. Nevitt assumed full operational control of Anwyl Partnerships as of this month.

He joins from housebuilder Mulbury where he was design director, and previously held the same title at the now-defunct contractor Bardsley, which fell into administration in 2019.

Prior to that, Nevitt was senior design manager at Bam Construction and has also worked at contractor Pochins. A bricklayer by trade, he has extensive industry experience, and is based in Anwyl’s North Wales headquarters.

Nevitt said: “Anwyl Partnerships has a proud history and is a brand synonymous with quality, trust and guaranteed delivery. For me, this role is not only a great opportunity, but a huge challenge within a fantastic and thriving business.

“The business has without doubt carved a solid reputation within the affordable/social housing and extra care sector in the North West and North Wales, and we aim to grow the company further based on these solid foundations.”

Under his leadership, the intention is to focus Anwyl’s business on land-led opportunities, as well as framework contracts with end-user partners such as housing associations.

“We will also consolidate our position within North Wales while driving awareness across the [wider] North West, creating new opportunities that fit well with the business model,” Nevitt said.

“Anwyl Partnerships is growing at an exceptional rate and part of my role will be to manage that growth while retaining the many positive virtues with which we have become associated.

“I will also begin to review procedures and processes, as well as the supply chain, develop relationships with existing customers and forge new partnerships.”

Tom Anwyl said: “Now is a very exciting time for Anwyl Partnerships. We have our strongest ever order book, a sound financial infrastructure, a brilliant team and supply chain.

“We now look forward to the next chapter with Mike helping steer us ahead.”
