Mulbury Homes braces for administration 

The Cheshire-based housebuilder has announced it is planning to appoint Kroll as administrator amid financial struggles.

A Mulbury Homes spokesperson said: “The company has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. The company is currently considering its options and a further update will be provided soon.”

Mulbury Homes’ current pipeline is worth £100m, according to its website.

Mulbury Homes’ last annual results show a pre-tax profit of £12,000 for the year ended 31 March 2020. Financial results for the year ended 31 March 2021 are due by the end of the month, according to Companies House.

Greg Mulligan and Martin Bury are listed as the directors of Mulbury Homes. Former directors Deborah McLaughlin and Elisabeth Williams have resigned since the beginning of 2022.

Mulbury City, which is developing several schemes in Manchester city centre is not impacted by the administration, it is understood.
