Morris unveils 430-home Preston plans
A 56-acre site off William Young Way in Cottam could be redeveloped as part of the area’s housing boom.
Morris Homes has lodged early-stage plans with Preston City Council for up to 430 homes, a linear park, and a primary school.
An EIA Scoping Report prepared by Pegasus Group states that the development would form “a natural extension to the existing residential development located on the east and south of the site on the western edge of the settlement of Cottam”.
The site sits within the North West Preston Strategic Location, which is earmarked for 5,300 homes.
Other developments emerging within the allocation include 319 homes from Bloor and Taylor Wimpey and Breck’s 102-home affordable scheme.
