Morris & Spottiswood’s new Warrington HQ

Fit-out specialist Morris & Spottiswood has acquired a property in Birchwood to convert into a new office and storage base serving the North West.

Garrett House is an existing industrial unit and will be converted to provide 12,000 sq ft of office and storage accommodation as well as staff perks such as a gym and pool table.

Works will include extensive structural remodeling, a new façade and entrance area benefiting from curtain walling and a high-level glass parapet wall. The cost of the investment will total approximately £2m.

Mark Davies, director of K2 Architects, selected by M&S for the project, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to create an architectural gem right in the heart of Birchwood Park, reinforcing the firm's long-term commitment to the North West and beyond."

The scheme is currently on site undergoing enabling works with planning permission anticipated for March 2012.

The new Warrington office follows the recent opening of the company's new address in South Gyle, Edinburgh. Morris & Spottiswood has been based in the North West for more than 10 years.
