Moorgarth opens Market Place Vaults

The 30,000 sq ft refurbished Victorian vaults under Market Place Shopping Centre in Bolton were launched to the public this week, the first phase in Moorgarth’s £20m redevelopment programme at the shopping centre.

The Vaults, designed by Wren Architects, is targeted and food and drink occupiers. Italian restaurant chain Prezzo and independent brewery Great Ale both opened this week, in a 2,450 sq ft unit and a 595 sq ft unit.

Nando’s is also due to open in the coming weeks.

The Vaults is part of the centre’s £20m overall redevelopment scheme, project managed by Projex and constructed by McLaren. The project includes the installation of a nine screen cineplex on the roof of the centre to be operated by Light Cinemas, and an indoor fun zone as an extension to The Vaults, both set to open later in 2016.
