Miller to deliver college development

Miller Construction has won the £5m contract to build a new reception and performing arts department for Preston College, granted planning consent in January.

Lis Smith, principal and chief executive at Preston College commented: "This new facility will not only enhance and build upon the existing campus, but will bring a new focal point to the college which will benefit both existing and future learners, including the wider community."

The development will take place at the college's Fulwood Campus on St Vincent's Road.

DTZ advised Preston College on the planning application. The building was designed by architects Taylor Young.
