Miller Homes moves to acquire final residential Omega plot
The housebuilder has purchased the Warrington site from OWL, a joint venture between Miller Developments and Homes England.
Miller Homes North West will now prepare to submit a reserved matters application to bring forward the 68-home phase four, which already benefits from outline planning approval.
CBRE marketed the site on behalf of OWL, where construction on the residences is due to start in early 2026.
The plot lies off Borsodi Boulevard, in the eastern corner of the Omega site.
Omega Warrington, with a GDV of £1bn, is the largest mixed-use development site in the North West, spanning approximately 775 acres.
In July, McClaren Construction handed over the final 420,000 sq ft shed at nearby Omega West industrial park.
Over the past 12 years, more than 7m sq ft of manufacturing and logistics space has been delivered, with occupiers now including Royal Mail, Amazon, and Home Bargains.
The wider masterplan permits up to 1,400 homes as part of the scheme, with a 40-acre public park planned in its centre.
John Hardy, land director at Miller Homes North West, said: “We are delighted to have secured this important site at Omega Warrington.
“As the first developer to bring homes to Omega, it’s incredibly rewarding for Miller Homes to now deliver the final phase.
“This acquisition underlines our continued confidence in the North West market and our commitment to creating sustainable, high-quality homes across the region.”

I thought this particular area next to the new care home was planned to include a public house and doctors surgery, but this plan shows houses only.

We where led to believe the area next to care home was planned for a public house/hotel and more retail units and a doctors surgery, which everyone living nearby was pleased about, how quickly that changed.
