Miller makes raft of director promotions

The housebuilder’s North West senior team has been restructured following the retirement of managing director Ian Smith.

The reshuffle has seen Miller Homes promote three of its staff to leadership roles. David Brackley, who has been with the business for five years, has been promoted to regional operations director, from technical director.

North West sales director Clare Noakes is taking on wider responsibilities to support Brackley and the management team in addition to her core role.

To aid this change and help the sales team maintain its track record, regional sales manager Leanne Feeley has been promoted to head of sales and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales teams. Feeley has worked at Miller for almost 18 years.

Technical manager Nikki Burns, who has been with the company for two years, has been promoted to technical director taking on Brackley’s previous role. All four are based at Miller’s head office at Birchwood Park in Warrington.

Former managing director Smith retired in the summer to spend time with his family and to travel. Chief executive Stewart Lynes said: “I’d like to thank Ian for the energy, effort, and enthusiasm he has instilled across the region during his tenure.

“I’m also delighted to see David, Clare, Leanne, and Nikki step into their new roles and take our North West office into its next chapter of growth.”

Projects Miller is working on currently include the flagship Varsity Quarter in Northenden, Manchester, transforming the former Manchester College site into new homes; the 160-home Blackfield Green development in Warton, Lancashire, Novus in Stretford, and schemes in Ashton-in-Makerfield and Oldham.
