Miller Homes acquires Coppull site for £16m resi

With deeds in hand, the housebuilder is ready to start building 67 homes on the seven-acre site off Darlington Street in Coppull.

Miller Homes purchased the site from two private landowners and the Diocese of Blackburn – with Leigh Hough & Co acting for the vendors.

The development, to be known as Church View, will comprise eight one-bedroom apartments and a series of houses – six of which will have two bedrooms, 32 will have three, and 21 will have four. The project secured sign-off from Chorley councillors last June and includes 20 affordable homes.

The project has an estimated GDV of more than £16m. It was designed by Gallagher Technical & Design.

Miller anticipates the first homes being available for occupancy in the first quarter of next year.

“New and affordable housing is much needed in the parish and therefore we’re pleased to be offering this to the community with Church View,” said John Hardy, land director at Miller.

“Our plans outline a small but plentiful development that will not only bring quality housing to the area but new, tended-to green spaces and facilities for children.”

The project team includes planer WSP, landscape architect TPM, and transport consultant Eddisons.
