Miller appoints Redrow MD as regional lead
Jason Newton has been appointed as managing director of Miller Homes’ North West division.
Newton will fill the void left by previous North West managing director Stuart Craig, who left the business in May after 14 months in the role.
Newton has joined Miller Homes at a busy time for the business, which is progressing several large schemes across the North West and is on site with five.
In recent months, Miller has accelerated plans to develop on Newton’s new patch with plans lodged for 106 homes off Hinchley Road in Manchester and 120 properties on a 20-acre site in Stockport, among others.
Newton has joined Miller from Redrow where he spent the last 10 years of his career.
He joined Redrow in 2015 as sales and marketing director, marking the start of his second stint with the housebuilder. He held this post for five years before being appointed MD for the North West.
Newton has also had stints at Barratt and Taylor Wimpey.
At Miller he will preside over projects in Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, and Lancashire. Newton will be based out of the company’s Birchwood office.
Stewart Lynes, chief executive at Miller Homes, said: “Jason has an outstanding track record in the sector and a deep understanding of the North West market.
“His leadership and experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our presence and deliver high-quality new homes across the region.”
Newton added: “I am delighted to be joining Miller Homes at such an exciting point in its growth journey.
“The North West has always been a thriving region for new homes, and I’m looking forward to building on Miller’s strong reputation here. Working with the team, I’m committed to ensuring we continue to deliver exceptional communities that people are proud to call home.”
