Mileway secures Runcorn letting
Third-party logistics provider Lloyd Fraser has signed a five-year lease on a 43,000 sq ft unit at Whitehouse Vale Industrial Estate in Runcorn.
Based in Rugby, Lloyd Fraser specialises in the transportation of bulk liquids and retail goods.
The company has 16 depots across the country, including in Chester and Winsford.
Mileway, part of Blackstone Group, secured the letting following a competitive bidding process.
The unit, which Mileway has recently refurbished, comprises 35,000 sq ft of warehouse accommodation and 8,000 sq ft of offices across two floors.
B8 Real Estate acted as joint agent for the letting, along with CBRE and DTRE.
“Runcorn was a key location for Lloyd Fraser and this high-specification refurbished unit fitted the bill perfectly,” Alex Perratt, surveyor at B8 Real Estate.
“The company secured the unit in the face of competition following a ‘best bids’ process. The outcome demonstrates the demand for high-quality industrial space in a very competitive market.”
Mileway purchased the Runcorn unit as part of a 2.2m sq ft portfolio acquisition from InfraRed last year.
