Milestone at Legacie’s £90m Parliament Square

A third steel frame at Legacie Developments’ 500-apartment scheme on the edge of Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle has been constructed as the developer aims for completion of the development next summer, following the sale of 300 units.

Construction of the frame for the final and tallest block will start in October.

Delivered across four blocks, ranging between eight and 18 storeys, the development will provide a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments starting at £95,000.

A public plaza surrounded by shops and restaurants totalling around 12,000 sq ft will connect the scheme with the Baltic Triangle.

One residential block will be topped with a penthouse apartment, as well as a gym and rooftop spa.

Consent for the development, designed by architect Falconer Chester Hall, was secured in September 2018 and in February this year Legacie announced a £20m deal with Maslow Capital to part-fund Parliament Square.

Investment firm RWInvest is also helping to fund the development.

Legacie’s construction arm is building the scheme.

Legacie’s founder and managing director, John Morley, said: “We are making solid progress and have recently started to construct the third block within the development.

“Parliament Square will have a transformative impact on a key thoroughfare into Liverpool city centre. There is huge interest in the scheme and we are delighted to have reached yet another major milestone in its construction.”

Legacie Developments recently announced that it is to expand into Greater Manchester. The company will shortly start work on a 196-apartment scheme called Merchant’s Wharf in Salford Quays.
