MCI Developments appoints head of land and partnerships
Eleanor Ogilvie has been promoted from senior manager to department head after working for the Wigan-based land acquisition specialist for three years.
As head of land and partnerships, Ogilvie will lead her team in acquiring and delivering residential development sites, with the goal of creating 500 homes per year in the North West.
“I’m immensely proud to be leading the land and partnerships team here at MCI Developments,” Ogilvie said. “I’m looking forward to strengthening the land team and continuing the success of delivering much-needed affordable housing across the North West of England.”
Prior to joining MCI Developments in 2019, Ogilvie worked for Mulbury. She said that she was inspired to pursue a career in the construction industry during her time as a student at the University of Leicester.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the regeneration modules, and it sparked an interest in me to learn more about the property and construction industry,” Ogilvie said. “For me, being knowledgeable in the industry and being able to adapt to new challenges has helped progress my career quickly.”
Ogilvie is an active member of The Association of Women in Property, an organisation dedicated to supporting women in the built environment. She was the chair of the North West chapter of Women in Property last year, passing on the torch to Fairhursts Design Group’s Nicola Rudman earlier this month.
Regarding Ogilvie’s promotion, MCI regional managing director Alex Wood said: “It’s great to see Eleanor take on the position as Head of Land & Partnerships here at MCI Developments. Her achievement is testament to the crucial work she plays within the construction industry and marks an exciting new chapter for the company.
“Eleanor is a true inspiration to other women, and her achievement clearly demonstrates the important role women play in the construction sector. We’re confident that with Eleanor’s proven track record of success, she will play a significant role in our continued growth plans by identifying key areas to build new beginnings and flourishing communities here in the North West.”
