McGrath moves into private sector

Joanne McGrath has joined Merseyside planning consultancy Satplan as an associate, having previously spent 14 years with Warrington Borough Council.

McGrath is expected to bring skills in planning policy and specifically Local Plan preparation to the Bootle-based firm.

Managing director Shaun Taylor said: “Joanne brings with her significant Local Plan experience from the public sector, and her senior appointment reflects her specialist skill set and outstanding knowledge of the Local Plan process.

“Joanne will play a pivotal role in promoting some of the largest residential development sites in the North West at the current time.”

McGrath added: “I am pleased to be joining Satplan at a time of significant growth and I look forward to working alongside Shaun and the team with existing clients as well as enhancing Satplan’s client base going forward.”

Satplan was formed in 2013 by Taylor and operates across the UK acting for national and regional house builders, land promoters, land owners, investors and a range of clients within the commercial sector.
