MAG recruits from DTZ

MAG Developments, Manchester Airport's commercial property business, has appointed Tom Coe as buildings manager for its World Freight Terminal.

Coe takes up the newly created role after spending three and a half years with DTZ as a building manager and facilities co-ordinator.

Coe will oversee the day-to-day management of the World Freight Terminal as well as all the other buildings within the estate.

Located to the west of Manchester Airport at Junction 6 of the M56 motorway, the World Freight Terminal estate provides 675,000 sq ft of warehouse and office accommodation across 57 acres.

The World Freight Terminal estate is home to around 50 freight firms, handling agents and transit-shed operators, plus non-aviation related businesses.

The estate includes the refurbished 308 Avro Way office building, which includes Autogrill Catering UK amongst its tenants.

Other companies based at the World Freight Terminal estate include Kuehn & Nagel, CBI Global Freight Management, Servisair, LSG Skychefs, and THS Scotland.

The World Freight Terminal deals with cargo aircraft and freight consignments that arrive or depart in the holds of passenger aircraft at Manchester Airport. In 2010 this equated to around 120,000 tonnes.
