Macclesfield housing approved

Bartholomew Homes has secured planning approval to develop a former council-owned site in Birtles Road, Macclesfield into 18 semi-detached houses.

The Hale-based upmarket housebuilder is re-entering the speculative housing market after a period building bespoke homes for clients.

The Birtles Road development designed by Tsiantar Architects will provide large homes with three bedroom, all with en suite bathrooms.

The site covers 1.3 acres near Green Belt and was sold by Cheshire East Council last year to Bartholomew Homes.

Gary Ford of Bartholomew Homes said: “We have worked hard to achieve this planning consent which has involved extensive dialogue with the local planning authority and local residents.

“We are pleased with the support that we have received from local residents and we are delighted that we can now get on and deliver our scheme on a site that has remained derelict for some time.”

In addition to speculative schemes, the company continues to deliver prestigious bespoke projects for clients across the Cheshire area.
