Peel sells to occupier at Ellesmere Port

A chunk of the consumer goods giant’s research and development headquarters in Wirral has gone up for sale, a development site totalling eight acres off the M53.

The vocational education provider has agreed to take two floors at the former Tyrers department store on Bridge Street, below the Nicholson Lofts development. 

Agent Mason Owen has let a 41,000 sq ft unit at the Charleywood Estate to logistics provider Balmain.

The Derwent Group’s business park is now 100% occupied, with Walton Flooring Centre heading three new arrivals with a 10,000 sq ft letting.

APJ Solicitors has agreed to take an additional 6,000 sq ft at Daresbury Park, off Junction 11 of the M56, south-west of Warrington, increasing its presence at the business park. 

The discount fashion and homeware retailer is seeking to raise £29m from the sale of its headquarters at Knowsley Industrial Park, among other measures to shore up its finances amid the pandemic.

Vehicle repair firm the Vella Group has signed to take a 15,700 sq ft unit at Infrared Capital Partner's Knowsley industrial complex on a 10-year lease as it looks to increase its North West presence. 

The consumer goods giant is to sell part of its Port Sunlight research and development facility, from which it is relocating staff in a cost-cutting drive.

Almost 60,000 sq ft has been let to various occupiers at Zone 2 on Deeside Industrial Estate in North Wales, following its latest phase of refurbishment.
