Approval is nearing for the mixed-use central Warrington development, first proposed by developer Iliad in 2005 and now reworked, with the tallest building pencilled in at 25 storeys.
The council is expected to approve plans for 617 homes at the 575-acre Omega Warrington development, while also giving the nod to a 2.2m sq ft industrial hub for retailer Home Bargains nearby that will be ruled on by St Helens Council.
Plans have been submitted for 115,000 sq ft of warehousing space at Gemini8 in Warrington by joint venture developers Chancerygate and Hines, accounting for the last five-acre plot at the business park.
