Senior living scheme proposed in Chester

The Leeds-based developer has won approval for a 21-bedroom aparthotel within a former post office at Palmyra Square in the town centre. 

The retirement living developer hopes to build 45 apartments off South Acre Drive in Handforth on the site of the former Cypress House nursing home. 

Developer and asset manager FI Real Estate Management wants to redevelop Winnington Business Park in Northwich by building seven blocks containing units ranging in size from 1,000 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft. 

The local authority is to adopt a development framework for the Brooks Lane area as a supplementary planning document, strengthening its ability to shape the area around an initial 200 houses and potentially a railway station. 

Cheshire East Council has deferred a decision on Onward Homes’ 450-home development off David Whitby Way following concerns over the integration of a proposed primary school and potential traffic congestion at the scheme's entrance. 

Manchester-based real estate firm Clifford Christian Estates has lodged outline plans for a seven-storey hotel at Centre Park Square off Slutchers Lane in Warrington.
