Apartments proposed for former Preston pub

The housebuilder has started on its debut project in Longridge featuring a mix of 83 homes on an eight-acre site off Whittingham Road.

After acquiring the building for £2m in 2017, developer Stable Vast has secured consent to convert Fairclough House on Church Street in Addlington from offices to 56 apartments.

Anwyl Homes has hired Shaun Sumner from Redrow as construction director in its Lancashire division, which also covers Merseyside. 

Wainhomes’ application to add 36 homes to its 165-home scheme at Arthur’s Lane in Hambleton has been approved at Wyre Council’s planning committee.

Three planning applications have been submitted for schemes across Preston totalling nearly 400, including an affordable housing development, a golf course masterplan, and a retirement village.

The housebuilder’s plans to build 168 homes on a greenfield plot in Darwen are set to be endorsed by Blackburn with Darwen Council next week.
