Taylor Wimpey snaps up Middlewich development site

The developer's off-site manufactured units are coming to the town for the first time after its House division was appointed by Homes England to deliver more than 200 homes at Grappenhall Heys.

The energy and regeneration specialist, in partnership with housing providers QWest Homes, ForViva and Cheshire West and Chester Council, has started remediation work to prepare a brownfield site off Wharton Road for 138 homes.

The housebuilder is requesting approval from Cheshire West & Chester Council to build the next 313 homes in its scheme near Ellesmere Port, having won consent for phases comprising 528 homes earlier this year. 

The housebuilder’s North West division has completed the purchase of the final parcel of land to complete its Willowbrook Grange development in Shavington.

Two major housing schemes are set to advance on the back of Cheshire East’s £36.5m highways expansion project to the north west of the town.

Landowning joint venture H20 Urban has tasked the consultancy with finding a buyer to deliver an 83-home and marina project on the River Weaver, consented in July.

Ainscough Strategic Land has revealed the location of three North West deals that could deliver 1,000 homes in the region.

The insurance giant has released a site with outline consent for 60 homes to the west of Alderley Road.

The housebuilder has started work on 148 houses at a 13-acre site off Dickens Lane in Poynton.
