Southvalley Estates, part of MCR Property Group, has revisited its longstanding plans to redevelop the site, which sits within Manchester’s Northern Gateway masterplan and is tipped to house 1,200 homes, with a consultation launch. 

The developer has won planning permission to convert the former Tatton Arms pub in Manchester, which has stood empty for more than a decade, into 28 apartments.

The last project at Rowlinson’s redevelopment of the former Stagecoach site on Princess Road in Moss Side, a five-storey retirement living scheme totalling 40 apartments, has been approved by Manchester City Council.  

The city council expects to gain approval on Wednesday to set up a company to deliver at least 500 homes each year until 2025, including affordable and private tenure units, and reduce the budget for projects such as the Town Hall refurbishment.
