Widnes-based firm Sourced Development Group has won approval from Liverpool City Council to build 27 apartments on the site of the former Derby Arms pub, close to the Eventim Olympia concert venue and former Grafton Rooms nightclub. 

The plans by Peel L&P and Your Housing Group for a 31-storey tower in Liverpool Waters head the city's next planning agenda with a recommendation for approval.
