In the run-up to the election David Cameron set out his plans for the first 100 days of a new Government. At that point few had predicted that the Conservatives would be entering office with a majority. So, how has the first 100 days impacted on the North West, asks Rebecca Eatwell.

New wave of UTCs confirmed

The Department for Education has announced a deadline of 29 January 2016 for applications to establish new vocational secondary schools, known as University Technical College. There are nine UTCs in the North West in sectors including construction and engineering.
