L&G signs Biffa at 200,000 sq ft Trafford shed

Biffa Waste has signed to take a 208,000 sq ft warehouse with landlord Legal & General Property as part of its new facility in Trafford Park.

The waste disposal specialist has taken the Fusion building in Electric Park at £4.75/sq ft on a 20-year lease.

Construction of the new recycling plant, capable of handling 200,000 tonnes of waste a year, is due to begin next month and be operational by the start of 2010.

King Sturge and CB Richard Ellis advised L&G Property; Boddy & Edwards acted for Biffa.
