Lettings agreed at Didsbury Point

Two deals totalling 13,240 sq ft have been completed at South Manchester office scheme One Didsbury Point. In each case, Cushman & Wakefield acted for the occupier, with architecture and engineering business IBI Group taking 9,512 sq ft and business management software specialist Sapphire Systems 3,728 sq ft. CBRE represented the landlord.

One Didsbury Point, on the main Princess Parkway route into the city, was acquired by Titanium Real Estate in May of this year and has since undergone refurbishment. One floor of 13,500 sq ft remains vacant.

Neil Lewin, deputy regional director for UK and Ireland at IBI, said: “We were attracted to Didsbury Point for two reasons, the high quality accommodation and the fantastic location. Cushman & Wakefield and Titanium worked together quickly and efficiently to satisfy our requirements.”

IBI is a global, substantially North American practice that currently has nine UK offices, including locations in Rochdale and Handforth, Cheshire – Handforth-based staff will relocate to Didsbury Point, but Rochdale will remain open.

Rob Yates, director and head of North West office agency at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “One Didsbury Point is currently one of the best office developments with availability in south Manchester. The quality of the accommodation, usability of the floorplates and its high profile location appeal to savvy occupiers who are finding the supply of quality accommodation in this area limited due to the lack of new developments and existing stock.”
