Legacie’s construction arm breaks £100m turnover barrier
Liverpool jobs including the 656-apartment The Gateway and the regeneration of Heaps Mill have helped Legacie Contracts towards a 19.6% income increase year on year.
The contracting arm of Legacie Developments, Liverpool’s most active developer, recorded revenues of £116.1m for the year ending 30 September 2024, up from £97.1m in 2023 and £68.92 in 2022. Cost of sales for the year ending 2024 was £112m.
Pre-tax profit also increased last year, up to £76,000 from £26,000 in 2023. Gross profit recorded was £3.9m with “administrate expenses” eating into that to the tune of £3.87m.
Chief executive John Morley said: “Breaking through the £100m million turnover mark is a major milestone for Legacie and a proud moment for everyone involved.
“These results are a testament to the tenacity, hard work and commitment of our team, who have helped position us as one of the most dynamic construction firms in the country.”
He added: “We are currently on site with some of the most exciting and transformative property projects in the North, and our pipeline across the country continues to strengthen. The foundations we’ve built over recent years are now delivering exceptional growth.”
Legacie has a target of £150m in revenue in the next three years.
As well as the Heaps Mill project and the three-block The Gateway, Legacie’s pipeline includes a £45m resi scheme in Salford and an office-to-resi conversion in Trafford.


Legacie keeping development afloat in Liverpool at the moment, and they are responsible for the only 5 working tower cranes currently, as the Tobacco Warehouse has stalled and Bastion Point has hit snags.
