Latest Burnley Bridge building reaches completion

Contractor GMI has handed over a 92,000 sq ft distribution hub at Eshton’s Burnley Bridge scheme to road haulage business Fagan & Whalley. The 36-week build project was funded by Yorkshire Bank and handed over on time at the end of May

The building stands on a 10-acre site with parking for up to 80 trailers, with 10 loading bays and 25,000 pallet locations.

The development significantly increases warehousing capacity for the family-run firm, which has its office and operations facility at the next junction of the M65..

James Chapman, managing director at Eshton, said: “Our vision for Burnley Bridge has been to create a thriving business hub since we acquired the brownfield site.

“We’ve worked hard to regenerate the area as well as creating new employment opportunities so it’s great to see another successful development complete on the site.

“The new distribution hub for Fagan & Whalley not only supports the growth strategy of a local company but will create new jobs in the area and boost the community.”

GMI is a regular partner of Eshton at Burnley Bridge, having previously built Magnesium Court and Cobalt House.

More than 750,000 sq ft has been built out at Burnley Bridge so far. The scheme has been expanded by a further 10-acre development, Titanium Park, intended for businesses to acquire land for bespoke accommodation.
