Lancaster Uni picks project managers for campus expansion

Lancaster University has named the pool of project managers it intends to draw from for its £159m new building programme in the next four years.

The Bailrigg Campus’s expansion includes a new science park and a £30m management school designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, due for completion in 2019.

The framework will run for a period of two years with a further two 12-month options to extend. The total value of the project management services to be procured is estimated at £3.35m.

There are three lots to the contracts. Winning a place on the framework for smaller jobs up to £4m were:

  • Pick Everard
  • Faithful & Gould
  • Gardiner & Theobald
  • Identity Consult

The winners on the lot for projects from £4m to £20m were:

  • Pick Everard
  • Identity Consult
  • Faithful & Gould
  • Gleeds Cost Management
  • WSP
  • Gardiner & Theobald

The firms selected for the largest contracts, from £20m to £60m, were:

  • Pick Everard
  • Identity Consult
  • Gardiner & Theobald
  • WSP
  • AA Projects
  • Faithful & Gould

The projects will be partly financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
