Lancaster awards housing maintenance contract

Lancaster City Council has handed a five-year £6m contract under its capital programme to Herbert T Forrest of Preston.

The contract covers external refurbishment, re-rendering, kitchen and bathroom refurbishment, and environmental improvements.

The council owns and manages 4,000 homes in the rented sector.
