Lancashire County Council starts search for consultant team

Lancashire County Council has begun procurement for a £2.5m consultancy framework featuring lots for architects, engineers, quantity surveyors, and landscape architects.

The four-year framework features disciplines across eight lots and is expected to be used for projects across the region.

There are two lots covering architecture, with one for packages less than £1m and another for packages over £1m. The council is searching for six architects for each of these lots.

Similarly, the council expects to appoint six consultants to its mechanical & electrical engineering lot, which covers boiler replacements, heating distribution replacements, and re-wiring jobs.

For the remaining lots, which cover structural engineering, CDM principal designers, quantity surveying, landscape architecture, and building surveying, the council expects to appoint four consultants to each lot.

All the consultants will work alongside the council’s in-house teams to deliver projects across its portfolio. The procurement documents can be accessed here.

Lancashire’s framework is the latest consultancy package to be issued in the region in recent months, following Star Procurement, headed up by Stockport, Trafford, and Rochdale Councils, launching a £500m framework in May this year.
