Knowsley seeks highways construction team

Knowsley Council has launched a search for construction firms to form part of its Highway Construction Schemes Framework Agreement, with an estimated contract value of up to £8m.

The framework agreement is for suppliers to provide the construction work only of highways related works in the area.

The agreement is aimed at schemes valued between £20,000 and £500,000, although the council said that the framework may also be used to procure schemes outside of this price range.

The framework is scheduled to commence in September 2014 and will be for an initial period of 12 months with a possible extension of a further 12 months.

Potential schemes include highway projects including traffic management, parking and access road construction, traffic calming projects and public realm and landscaping.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 16 June 2014 at 9.30am.
