Knight Frank expands building consultancy team

Knight Frank has appointed James Clark as a graduate building surveyor in its project and building consultancy team in Manchester.

Clark gained a first-class building surveying degree from Salford University. At Knight Frank, his role will involve working with clients across the North West, assisting with instructions ranging from pre-acquisition and dilapidations surveys through to workplace consultancy and contract administration.

He joins a team led by partner Simon Matley and including senior surveyor David Whitney and surveyor James Ingle. His appointment follows a rise in instructions over the last six months, including the design and fit-out of Ecclesiastical's new 8,500 sq ft office in St Ann's House, Manchester, the project monitoring of Portergate Properties £12.5m student housing development in Preston and SIRA's new £4m headquarters in Hawarden Business Park, Flintshire.

Matley said: "James was a standout candidate for the position and is a welcome addition to our growing team. He'll be helping us to manage a pipeline of work which has been steadily increasing since the end of last year, including major fit out projects, dilapidations and increasingly, project monitoring/management."
