Kier and Maple Grove begin Artis Park build

Working with Yorvale, the joint venture partners have started work on the £14m industrial and trade counter development in Winsford.

The project, backed by the North West Evergreen Fund, includes 124,000 sq ft across thirteen units, which range between 26,620 sq ft and 3,450 sq ft.

These units will be available on a freehold or leasehold basis and are being targeted at light industrial, employment, and trade counter uses.

These will be delivered over two phases; the first is due to complete by the second quarter of next year, with a second phase to be handed over at the end of 2020.

Three of the units are already either let or under offer; Screwfix has taken a pre-let on two buildings, while a further unit is in legals with a national trade counter operator. Gerald Eve and Legat Owen are the retained agents.

Kier Property, Maple Grove Developments, and Yorvale are the developed behind the scheme. HP Construction is the contractor.

Henry Martin, development manager at Kier Property, said: “We are delighted to officially start the construction of Artis Park, we have worked hard with our professional team over the last 12 months to design a scheme which provides flexible high quality industrial accommodation and addresses the lack of smaller modern units in the area. The scheme has attracted strong interest from both local and national occupiers; and we look to build upon on this progress through the construction phase.”
