Kevan heads spate of hires for How

Manchester-based consultancy How Planning has made six appointments as it grows its planning and environmental advisory team, including a new partner, Richard Kevan, to lead its environmental impact assessments team.

Kevan joins from Wardell Armstrong, where as technical director he was responsible for the management of planning and environmental assessments in the Stoke office, operating across a wide range of projects including renewable energy and major infrastructure.

How, which is still amid talks to be acquired by GVA, said that Kevan’s appointment will help further enhance this area of the business which continues to experience growing demand as a result of recent legislative and regulatory changes.

Also arriving at How are principal planner Paul Nellist from Lichfields and senior planner Emily Roberts, who joins from Knight Frank.

The complement of newcomers is completed by three graduates.  Alice Henderson joins from DPP, whilst Lauren Neary and Jonny Wilks join straight from university.

Gary Halman, managing partner at How, said: “Richard’s appointment is a great coup as he brings a huge wealth of experience and expertise to our EIA team, which is a key area of our advisory work and will support further growth in this area of the business.

“2017 has been very positive for HOW adding a number of major new clients and significant projects to our portfolio. Our new team members will ensure we can continue to focus on strong business growth, excellent client service and the delivery of outstanding results which our clients expect.”
