Johnson joins H&H Land & Estates as MD

Mark Johnson, who previously held senior roles at Cumbria LEP and BAE Systems, has joined the Cumbrian business as managing director.

The firm said that Johnson will look to grow the surveying, lettings and land agency, which now has offices in Carlisle, Cockermouth, Kendal, Penrith, Keswick and Durham.

Johnson’s previous role was as head of strategy and policy at Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership. Prior to that, he was head of site for major projects at BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness, during which time he achieved an MBA and participated in a global leadership programme.

He is additionally chartered through the Association of Project Management.

Johnson said: “It is a huge honour and privilege to join such a fantastic business and build on the solid foundations laid down by my predecessor. The rural sector in the North of England is strong and incredibly well positioned to ensure the continued growth of the business.”

H&H Land & Estates is a specialist in the rural sector, supporting the needs of farmers and agri businesses, as well as land and property owners. It has recently set up a specialist woodland team.

Group chief executive Richard Rankin said: “The management team at H&H Land & Estates has built a great platform for the next chapter of growth. They continually evolve and embrace the frequent changes within the industry, and I know Mark understands our vision to help us to continue to achieve this.”
