The City Centre Growth and Regeneration Team provide the essential focus and drive in the delivery of a wide range of projects and initiatives that support the regeneration and ongoing growth of the city centre. The team work to promote Manchester as a place to live, work and visit; facilitating development and investment in the city centre, and encouraging businesses to relocate here, supporting the creation of new jobs, homes, infrastructure and facilities.
The team works with a wide range of partners in the public and private sector, and other stakeholders, to ensure an integrated and comprehensive approach to achieving the Council’s growth objectives.
If you have an understanding of the national policy context for local government, the key drivers behind successful cities, how to develop strong partnerships, and experience in service delivery from a regeneration perspective, we want to hear from you.
You will develop, manage and successfully deliver a complex, high valued portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives, and will also lead and drive the design, development and implementation of evidenced strategies, complex research, and provide reports and presentations across the spectrum of the Council’s interests, particularly in relation to growth, development and regeneration.
We are looking for an individual with have extensive expertise of delivering complex programmes in a partnership context, within a structured project management process to challenging timelines.
You will also have excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, the ability to understand motivate staff and to work with senior managers and Members, and the ability to carry out financial planning and understand, assimilate and communicate complex information; and be able to work well under pressure.
