The Position & Team

One of the largest independent and privately owned estate agency groups with national coverage is looking to expand their successful team through the appointment of a Chartered Residential Surveyor in Wigan.

This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Chartered Surveyor to progress their career with a leading name in the residential surveying marketplace.

Role Profile

  • To provide professional residential valuations within Wigan and the surrounding areas
  • Provide a full range of residential valuation advice to a wide range of key existing clients and new business, including both lenders and private clients
  • Contribute to team fee billing and profit targets

Main Responsibilities

  • Completing mortgage valuations, home reports, and specialist valuation work within your designated territory
  • Support the team profile in the market
  • Work collaboratively to generate new instructions and pool expertise within the team
  • Proactively look for and able to identify new business and revenue opportunities with new and existing clients
  • Gather and act on client feedback
  • Maintain and develop good client relationships
  • Meet and indeed exceed individual turnover target, support team members to meet and exceed team turnover target

Knowledge & Experience

  • MRICS/AssocRICS qualified Residential Valuation Surveyor
  • Experience of working in a professional practice and/or corporate environment
  • An understanding of business development and client relationship management
  • Experience in networking and building relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrable understanding of market and local knowledge
  • Knowledge of the wider residential sector
  • Financial awareness of yields, band rates, mortgage rates and availability of mortgages
  • Business and report writing experience
  • Detailed knowledge of current legislation and case law relevant to role
  • IT skills (MS Word Advanced, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet)
